POSITION OVERVIEW:

The SAP Cloud & AWS Engineer aligns technical designs and solutions that are fit for purpose to address customer requirements and priorities, provides technology advisory service to our clients and internal stakeholders as appropriate on SAP solution and non-SAP and ensures projects and programs adhere to product roadmaps.

As SAP Cloud & AWS Engineer you will work with a team of experts, architects in and outside of the team, with Infrastructure partners and other members and stakeholders.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Central contact person for the new SAP and AWS cloud technologies, from architecture to technical implementation.

• Further development of all SAP and AWS cloud topics considering the on-premise systems (conception / architecture of AWS Console / SAP BTP / Integration Suite & CPI / Launchpad / Fiori / Gateway, etc.).

• Resolving disruptions between on-premise and cloud solutions

• Coordination / definition of the authorization concept across systems (cloud systems).

• Participation in the implementation of the authorization concept mainly in the authentication management.

• Advise customers and projects on the use of cloud technologies.

• Platform Administration: AWS and SAP BTP Account Management, Quotas and BTP update planning.

• Platform Operations: Command line tool (CLI), install certificates, service retirement, manage transports, Maintain Credential store, Service configuration, services change management, system connections and integration.

REQUIREMENTS:

• For this position, you bring the following qualifications:

• +3 years of professional experience in the area of SAP Cloud / BTP and Amazon AWS including

• Good knowledge of SAP and AWS cloud technologies

• Experience with designing, building and managing cloud infrastructure as well as with integration architecture between SAP on-premise and cloud solutions

• Expert level knowledge in AWS or other cloud technologies like Azure or Google Cloud is a plus

• Knowledge of compute storage and network infrastructure is a plus

• Good knowledge of the relevant basic technologies such as Container, TCP / IP, DNS, Linux, Windows is a plus

• Good experience with script and orchestration solutions such as Ansible, Puppet, Python, Chef is a plus

• Practical experience in the design and implementation of an automated tool chain for the provision of infrastructures (Infrastructure as Code), build pipelines and deployments is a plus

• Great interest in new technologies & digitization of business processes

• Great interest in further training to stay up to date with technology

• Excellent team and communication skills

• Pronounced service orientation and customer orientation

• Good communication in English.

• Cloud and/or SAP Certification is preferred

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience
